In the far left columns are general information about your site. See sidebar here for a short explanation.
In the center are various icons to the many different tools available to you. Follows is a short description of each item.
-
Change Password - change your main domain and FTP password. This does NOT change your main email address password, this is handled in the Mail Manager.
-
Mail Manager - manage your email accounts - add, delete new accounts, set up forwards, autoresponders, and change passwords. We recommend setting the 'default' mailbox to "Reject messages and do not send an auto- responder", to help stop some spam. This setting will only allow mail through sent directly to you, rather than anyone@yourdomain .
-
Quaranteen Manager - set up the file types to quaranteen to reduce your chance of getting a virus. We recommend setting pif, bat, exe, scr, inf, and zip extenstions.
-
SpamVault - set up spam filters to block unwanted emails.
-
SpamGuard Manager - a little less featured than SpamVault, but still a good spam filtering device.
-
Check Email Via The Web - prefer to use webmail? This is one way to access it. Remember your username and password are as you set them in the Mail Manager.
-
File Manager - upload files, change permissions, edit files, etc. This is a valuable tool to use to see what is where. Because you can only load one file at a time, an FTP program - or software such as MS Front Page, Dreamweaver, etc., with automatic uploading - may be preferable.
-
Mailing List - you can create and manage your mailing list here. We also offer the installation of a more user-friendly mailing list called Dada.
The SmartList mailing list program which comes with the control panel has help files located here:

Counter - If you would like to add a counter to your page you can use this. Instructions are available by clicking this button.
-
Formmail - use this script to have forms on your site mailed to you. This is a server wide formmail script, so there is no need to install your own. Instructions are given by clicking this button. You post your form to cgi-sys/formmail.pl. Do not use your domain name in the path, and use ../ for each level you must go up to reach your main directory.
-
MS Frontpage - Do you want to use MS FrontPage? You will need to install (or periodically verify) Microsoft FrontPage server extensions.
-
Protect Directories - use this if you want to use our online tool to password protect directories on your site. Be sure you know what you are doing before using this feature, or you might password protect the entire site, and no one will be able to see it.
-
Redirection - will redirect pages to other pages for you, but if you use FrontPage, this feature will not be available.

-
MySQL Database - will bring you to the phpMyAdmin administration interface for your mySQL database. Your database name will be yourdomain_com, your user name and password needed to connect with PHP will be the same as your FTP user name and password. Some users of FrontPage are asked to supply this information again to log into the mySQL interface.
-
Secure Mail - If you have your own secure server certificate you can take advantage of getting email securely so you can receive confidential information.
-
SSH - we require you to login with SSH instead of Telnet. You will need an SSH client, and you will need to setup your key and access IP addresses here. If your connection IP address changes every time you log on (which happens with most dial-up ISPs), use the Network Troubleshooter button to find out the IP address you are connected with, then change the last two numbers to wildcards like this: 65.108.*.* The first time you want to use SSH, you will have to request it to be setup by following the instructions on the screen.
